I want to draw digitally, and I have a drawing tablet, but can not afford to Corel or Photoshop. Comments???

I looked up some possibilities open source, but I am careful about them. I do not want something that will mess up my computer, you know? I'm looking for something that can be used to draw things like strips comic. You do not have to be fancy. Only quite easy to use, preferably cheap or free, and I need it soon. Well, you can always try to buy an old version of CorelDraw on e-Bay or similar. Surely it will be cheaper. With Draw you can use your tablet for vector drawings and PhotoPaint (included in the suite) can edit bitmap / paint pictures or just (as in Photoshop). The latest version is Draw X4 (14), but 11 or 12, or even an older version, could make a bunch of tools for its creations. This software is very easy to use but very powerful. You can also search Academic version pricing. These are the boxes with the same product at a lower price, with the only difference being that they are not allowed to use commercially (selling their works, mainly).
